Classical Swine Fever Control Programme

Initially this programme was a component of Assistance to State for Control of Animal Disease (ASCAD). However, starting from the year 2014-15, it got detached for ASCAD and became a separate programme due to its importance on the economy of the states and the country as a whole. Thus starting from the year 2015-16, the Department is availing this programme from Govt. of India on 90:10 basis in order to vaccinate the Swine population in the State. Accordingly, in 2017-18, a total of 170000 doses of SF vaccines were procured and vaccinated against Pigs population across the State
