Small Animal Development:

Inducted Merino cross breed

With a view to popularise small animals particularly sheep in the State, Govt. of India has provided financial assistance under National Livestock Mission to strengthen the existing sheep farm at Poilwa, Peren.

Accordingly, infrastructure development of the farms in terms of repair & renovation were done. Further, induction of Merino crossbred sheep alongwith with feeds and equipments were successfully done under the scheme. It is anticipated that with the strengthening of this farm, the small & marginal farmers alongwith woman folks are likely to be benefited by way of uplifting their socio-economic status through small animal farming.
